Our S Series solid bamboo floors are made out of select A-Grade bamboo, of the Moso species. It is made from whole strips of bamboo, using plants that are a minimum 5 years old. While bamboo grows to full height at a rapid rate, it takes at least 5 years to harden to the point that it will be suitable for use as a bamboo hardwood flooring material. While some companies offer flooring cut from younger plants, which results in a bamboo wood floor that is easily scratched or damaged, we make sure that all of the wood that we use in our bamboo flooring has reached an optimum maturity - not too young, and not too old . We also use strips that have been cut from the middle of the culm, which is the most resilient part of the stalk.
Because it absorbs lower levels of moisture than other types of wood flooring, our S Series solid bamboo wood floor holds up well in areas of varying humidity. It can be installed over many different types of sub floors using glue and nail down methods, and in some cases even over concrete flooring using glue down. This makes bamboo a more versatile flooring material than many other hardwoods, as well as more durable. Choose the strength and beauty of a solid bamboo floor for your home
