The Strand Carbonized flooring has an awesome rich brown color, which is created in the manufacturing process. The flooring is produced by pulling the bamboo apart in to strands, weaving them together then applying extreme pressure and heat, giving it the beautiful deep color. This flooring is not stained. It's the same toasty color all the way through, thanks to a heating process that darkens the bamboo before it's woven and compressed. This color is also available in 5 inch wide planks, antiqued wide planks, and also two versions of locking click together floors - 3 footers and 6 footers (wide plank also)!
The flooring is durable and almost three time harder than oak, which is why we are proud to give it our lifetime guarantee. This Carbonized flooring looks great in any home, and is super durable. It can cope with anything your lifestyle throws at it - kids, pets (although please do not actually throw any kids or pets!), you name it, this flooring can cope. With a high quality flooring like this, you might think that installation would be tricky, but this is just not the case. As a tongue-and-groove floor it can be simply installed with nails or glue.
What is Strand Woven Carbonized Bamboo Flooring?
Almost three times harder than oak and extremely stable, our strand woven flooring is made by heating long strips of bamboo, which are pulled apart into strands, woven together, then compressed them under extreme pressure and heat. This process gives our strand woven flooring a handsome, hardwood look. As a tongue-and-groove flooring, it can be installed using either a nail-down or glue-down method.
Why Choose Carbonized Wood?
Choosing carbonized wood over natural bamboo is a purely aesthetic decision as many people prefer the darker look that comes with carbonization. As with all our flooring products, strand woven carbonized bamboo flooring from Ambient Bamboo Floors features our exclusive lifetime structural guarantee, as well as a 30-year guarantee on the fit and finish of our Accuseal system.
Dozens of Color Combinations Available!
Carbonization provides a rich base for our many custom stain finishes. Choose from over a dozen different colors that match perfectly with any decor. In addition to providing extra strength, the strand weaving process also contributes a distinctive grain that mimics the look of hardwood.
