FAQs
How easy is it to install eucalyptus flooring?
Installing this natural eucalyptus flooring is easy! There are two ways to install: glue it down or nail it down. Similar to bamboo flooring, the process is simple enough for a DIY project and can usually be completed in a day (depending on the size of the space).
Can this flooring be installed in a kitchen? Is it water-proof?
While eucalyptus flooring is almost 3 times harder than oak, it is not water-resistant and should not be installed in kitchens or areas where liquid spills may occur. Puddles of liquid that accumulate on eucalyptus flooring may cause permanent damage.
What is the difference between bamboo and eucalyptus flooring?
Technically speaking, bamboo is classified as grass and eucalyptus is classified as hardwood. Other differences between the two are subtle. Both materials are incredibly durable and sustainable but eucalyptus tends to be a bit more expensive and more grainy than bamboo.
How do I take care of eucalyptus flooring?
One benefit of our Tupelo Honey Eucalyptus wood flooring is the almost-effortless maintenance required. Eucalyptus is moisture-resistant which makes it incredibly easy to clean. You can care for your floors simply by regularly sweeping or vacuuming and spot-cleaning with a damp cloth or mop.
